GIZ GmbH – Youth Employment in Agri-Food Sector

Verb Education partnered with GFA Consulting Group to deliver the GIZ GmbH-funded Youth Employment in Agri-Food Sector (YEA) project. The extensive project focused on revising curricula in the TVET Sector and developing digital content to enhance youth employment in Kenya’s agri-food sector.

Technical Undertaking

• Curriculum Revision: Verb Education led the revision of occupational standards and curricula, ensuring alignment with market demands and modern agricultural practices.
• Digital Content Development: Multimedia content was created for online delivery, including interactive modules on modern farming techniques, agribusiness, and sustainability.
• ICT-Enhanced Training: The training models utilized ICT tools to enhance learning, including virtual farming simulations, quizzes, and assessments to provide hands-on experience.

Outcome
The project resulted in modernized agricultural training programs that better-equipped youth for employment in the agri-food sector. The ICT-based approach significantly improved access to training and provided a more dynamic learning experience.
